If you haven’t tried baked oats yet, well, let me introduce them to you. I like to think of baked oats as socially acceptable, healthier ‘cake’ that I can eat for breakfast. These Eggless Nutella Chocolate Baked Oats are super chocolatey and gooey in the middle, yet healthy enough to eat for breakfast or as a late-night snack!
You can always make baked oats earlier and then just re-heat them when you wish to have them. You can prepare them in less than 30 min so they make for a great breakfast option when you do not have the time for something elaborate.
What I also love about baked oats is that they are a healthy tiffin box snack option too. When you say chocolate and nutella, it definitely becomes a favourite with kids too. And you can always try out other flavour options too. If you love carrot cake, then do check out this Carrot Cake Baked Oats recipe too..
Eggless Nutella Chocolate Baked OatsCourse: BreakfastCuisine: englishDifficulty: Easy
Baked oats are incredibly easy to make. They take less than 5 minutes of prep time and just 15-20 minutes to bake, so they’re ready to eat in under 30 minutes.
Rolled Oats – ½ cup
Salt – ¼ tsp
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Cocoa Powder – 2 tbsp
Ripe Banana – 1
Milk – ½ cup
Vanilla Essence – ½ tsp
Honey – 1-2 tbsp
Nutella – 4 tsp
Chocolate Chips – a few
- Preheat the oven at 190C for 15 min. Grease 4 ramekins and keep it aside.
- In a blender jar, add the rolled oats, salt baking powder and cocoa powder and blend till the oats are powdered.
- To this, add the banana, milk and vanilla essence and blend again. Divide half of the batter among the prepared ramekins. Add 1 tsp each of the Nutella on top of the batter along with a few chocolate chips. And then add the remaining batter on top.
- Add a few more chocolate chips on top. Bake this at 190C for 15-20 min till a skewer inserted comes out clean.
Love your recipes. Just a doubt…can Quaker oats be used instead of rolled oats
Thanks for connecting. Since the oats are ground with the other ingredients, you can try it out with Quaker oats too. Do let me know how it turns out. Thanks!
