Making Apple Crumble is truly as amazing of a cooking routine as it is to eat it. This extremely simple dish can be easily made by anyone. And the best part is to serve it with this homemade Vanilla Sauce. And if you feel like indulging further, go ahead and warm up a bowl of apple crumble and top it up with some ice-cream and Butterscotch Sauce.

Few things to keep in mind

  • Apples: I have used green apples for this recipe as I personally prefer the tanginess that they add to the dish. You can use red apples too if you prefer. The amount of lemon juice can be adjusted as per your personal preference. Adding some amount of lemon juice is important to prevent the browning of apples.
  • Topping: I have used a mix of oats and flour for topping and it gives a nice crunch. Along with that, I have also added a mix of chopped nuts. The choice is nuts is also personal and you can add whichever nuts you have available with you and that you like.
