A latte is a hot drink which has a layer of espresso or coffee, followed by steamed milk and a layer of milk foam on top. This gingerbread latte has the milk layer flavoured with the spices of gingerbread cookie, which gives it a lovely spicy note.
If you love gingerbread cookies, then this is a great alternative to the traditional latte. Heat the milk with the spices till it steams and then froth is using a milk frother. In case you do not have a frother, then you can add a little milk into a bottle, close the lid and shake it vigorously to get milk froth that you can use to top this warm cup of gingerbread latte.
This is an awesome recipe to try out during the Christmas season – goes perfect with the Christmas theme too!
