Chilli Garlic Tofu

Ingredients
Green Chilli – 1, chopped
Garlic – 8-9 cloves, chopped fine
Ginger – 1/4-inch piece, chopped fine
Soy Sauce – 1 tbsp
Tomato Ketchup – 2 tsp
Red Chilli Sauce – 2 tbsp
Tofu – 200 gms
Oil – 2-3 tsp
Red and Yellow Bell Pepper – 1/2 each, cubed
Water – 1/4 cup
Salt – as per taste
Cornflour – 1 tsp
Spring Onion Greens – a few, chopped
White Sesame Seeds
Directions
- Mix together green chilli, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and red chilli sauce together.
- Add the tofu into this and mix well.
- Heat oil in a pan and add just the tofu pieces into it and fry lightly. Remove it from heat.
- Add some oil to the pan and add the chopped bell peppers. Saute on high flame for a couple of minutes.
- Add the remaining marinade into this and fry for 2 minutes. Add water to it along with salt, if needed and let it come to a boil.
- Add the tofu pieces to it and let it all boil together for a minute.
- Mix the cornflour together with some water and add it to the gravy. Let it thicken.
- Add spring onion greens and sesame seeds and toss it well.
- Serve it with some steamed rice or boiled noodles and enjoy!
