These Palak Parathas, made using the liquid dough method, have a really soft texture. It is almost like a crepe or a thin pancake as that is the batter consistency for this. The main ingredients are all blended together in a mixie and then added to the flour to prepare the batter. The parathas are cooked till they fluff up well. You can add seasonings of your choice or keep it plain with just some salt.

A healthy and easy to make paratha using spinach leaves!


  • Spinach – 150 gms, blanched

  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves

  • Green Chilli – 1

  • Whole Wheat Flour – 1 cup

  • Salt – as per taste

  • Water – to make into a flowy batter

  • Oil – if needed to apply on pan


  • Into the blender jar, add spinach leaves, garlic and green chilli and blend well.
  • Into a mixing bowl, add the whole wheat flour, salt and the blended spinach puree along with some water and mix well to make a flowy batter.
  • Onto a non-stick pan, brush some oil and spread the batter evenly. Let it cook on one side and then flip over.
  • Once both sides are cooked, press gently and cook so that the paratha fluffs up on the pan.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot.
