Since watermelon is naturally quite sweet, you can skip adding any sweetener. However, if you are add some lemon juice and ginger like I do, then you can always add a little bit of sweetener to balance the flavours.

It is a great food after exercise or exertion because it is high in potassium which our body needs to recover.

Ingredients

  • Watermelon Cubes – 2 cups

  • Mint leaves – a few

  • Ginger – a small piece, chopped

  • Lemon Juice – 2 tbsp

  • Sugar – 1 tbsp

  • Ice – a few cubes

  • Chopped watermelon pieces for garnish

Directions

  • Add the watermelon cubes, mint leaves, ginger, lemon juice, sugar and ice cubes into a blender jar and blend well.
  • Strain this juice into a bowl. Into a serving glass, add some ice cubes and some small chopped pieces of watermelon. Pour the juice on top of this.
  • Garnish with a watermelon piece and mint leaves and serve.
