A royal dessert which will make you feel like royalty!

Ingredients

  • Bread Slices – 4

  • Butter / Ghee – 2-3 tbsp

  • For the Milk Syrup
  • Milk – ½ cup

  • Sugar – ½ cup

  • Saffron – a few strands

  • Cardamom Powder – a pinch

  • For the Rabri
  • Remaining Milk Syrup

  • Condensed Milk – ¼ cup

  • Crumbled White Bread – 2

  • Rose Water – ½ tsp

  • Milk – ¼ cup

  • For Garnish
  • Chopped Almonds and Pistachios

  • Silver Wark

  • Rose Petals

Directions

  • Remove the crust from the bread slices and then cut them into triangles.
  • Spread a generous amount of ghee / butter on the bread slices and toast them on a pan till golden-brown and crispy. Keep them aside.
  • Into a kadai or a pan, boil together milk, sugar, saffron and cardamom powder for a couple of minutes till the sugar dissolves well.
  • Dip the bread slices into this and arrange them on the serving plate or dish.
  • Strain the remaining milk syrup and add it back to the kadai or pan.
  • Add condensed milk, crumbled bread, rose water and milk to this and mix well. Once it thickens, blend if needed to a smooth texture.
  • Pour the rabri on top of the bread slices and garnish with chopped almonds, pistachios, silver wark and rose petals.
  • Refrigerate and serve cold.
