Sabja Seeds – 1 tbsp
Water – 6 tbsp
Vanilla Custard Powder – 1 tbsp
Milk – ¼ cup
Ghee – 2 tsp
Sewai/Semiya – ¼ cup
Milk – 1.75 cups
Sugar – 3 tbsp
Pomegranate Kernels – ¼ cup
Apple – ¼ cup, chopped
Green Grapes – ¼ cup, chopped
Black Grapes – ¼ cup, chopped
Orange Segments – ¼ cup, chopped
Dry fruits for topping
Directions
- Add sabja seeds to water and keep it aside till the seeds absorb the water and swell up.
- Add ¼ cup milk to custard powder and mix well and keep it aside.
- Heat ghee in a kadai and add the sewai or semiya to it and fry till it starts changing color. Remove it from heat and keep it aside.
- Into the same pan, add the milk and bring it to a boil. When the milk starts boiling, add the sewai/semiya along with the sugar and mix well. Cook this till the sewai/semiya is cooked through.
- At this stage, add the custard powder mix to the milk and cook for a couple of minutes. The milk will thicken a little. Turn off the heat and let it cool down slightly.
- Next, add the soaked sabja seeds along with all the chopped fruits and mix well.
- Keep this refrigerated and serve cold.
- While serving, top it up with dry fruits of your choice.
