A parfait is a layered dessert, usually kept refrigerated and served cold. It can have layers of different ingredients which all come together in a delicious dessert. Fruits, cream or yoghurt and cake or biscuit – these are the different things that commonly go in a parfait.
This Tricolor Fruit and Yoghurt Parfait represents the colors of the Indian flag and is a great dessert to prepare for the Indian Republic Day or the Indian Independence Day. It has layers of fruits and a simple and quick sweet yoghurt or srikhand. This is a great recipe to present for any no-fire cooking competition for kids too.
You can customize this recipe to include fruits of your choice and what you like. Here, I have used oranges and kiwis since I was trying to bring the Indian tricolor together in this dessert.
