This is one of those forgiving recipes that allows you to go different ways based on your preferences or what you have on hand — like swapping out the almond for cashew , or excluding the nut/ seed altogether for a slightly lighter version.

Blueberry And Sweet Basil Milkshake

Using coconut milk can be a n nice change over almond milk. Honestly you can’t go too wrong improvising with a milkshake, so go on… 😉

Ingredients

  • Basil Seeds – 2 tsp

  • Water – ½ cup

  • Milk – 1.5 cups

  • Blueberries – 125 gms

  • Honey – 1 tsp

  • Vanilla Essence – ¼ tsp

  • Almonds – 5

  • Salt – a pinch

  • Ice – a few cubes

Directions

  • Soak the basil seeds in water for 5-10 min till they soak up all the water and become jelly like. Into a blender jar, add the milk, blueberries, honey, vanilla essence and almonds and blend well. To this, add the salt and ice and blend again.
  • Into two serving glasses, divide the soaked basil seeds.
  • Add the milkshake on top and mix well.
  • Serve cold, garnished with more blueberries.
