This Kulukki Sarbath is a simple yet really refreshing summer cool drink – Kulukki Sarbath. The addition of basil seeds in the kulukki sarbath makes it a great option to have when you want to keep yourself hydrated for longer period of time during the summer months.
This is a sweet and spicy lemonade that is shaken before being poured out onto a large glass tumbler.

Sabja Seeds – 1 tsp
Water – 1 tbsp
Lemon – 1
Green Chilli – 1
Salt – a pinch
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Mint leaves – a few
Ice Cubes – as needed
Water – 1 cup
Directions
- Add a little water to the sabja seeds and leave it aside to soak the water and swell up. Cut 2-3 small slices from the lemon and juice the remaining into a glass.
- Slit a green chilli and add it to the glass. Add the lemon slices, salt, sugar, sabja seeds and mint leaves along with some ice into the glass.
- Fill about ½ of the glass with water. Then cover the glass with the shaker glass and shake the mix really well. Top up the glass with water and mix and serve.
- In case you do not have a shaker, you can add everything to a bottle and shake well and then pour into the serving glass.
