Ginger Lemonade: A Refreshing Twist on a Classic Drink

Ingredients

  • Ginger – 2-inch piece, crushed

  • Sugar – ¼ cup

  • Water – 2 cups

  • Lemon Juice – from 2 lemons

  • Salt – a pinch

  • Ice

  • Mint Leaves and Lemon Slice for Garnish

Directions

  • Into a sauce pan, add the crushed ginger, sugar and water and bring it to a boil.
  • Let it simmer together for a couple of minutes. Turn off the heat and let the mix cool down. Strain this into a pitcher.
  • Add lemon juice and salt to this and mix well.
  • Add ice into the serving glass and pour the lemonade on top.
  • Top it with some mint leaves and a lemon slice for garnish and serve cold.
