It’s a simple, delicious, cold pink bubbly drink that is enjoyed by youngsters and adults, and a great way to take a can of ginger ale and dress it up to make it look and taste fancy. It’s the perfect holiday drink, since everyone can enjoy it.

The drink is named for Shirley Temple, the child actress, singer and dancer who starred in many movies and television shows during the 1930s and ’40s and later become a U.S. diplomat and ambassador.

Ingredients
Ice
Grenadine Syrup – 2 tbsp (30 ml)
Ginger Ale – 2/3 cup
Lemon Juice – 1 tsp (5 ml)
Cherry and Lime Slice for garnish
Directions
- Fill a high ball/tall glass with ice. Add grenadine syrup to this, followed by the ginger ale and lemon juice. Gently mix this. Garnish with cherries and serve.
