These cheesy crackers are tasty and go really well with a hot cup of masala chai.

  • Cheddar Cheese – 100 gms, grated

  • Butter – 2 tbsp, cold

  • Flour – ½ cup

  • Salt – ¼-½ tsp

  • Chilli Flakes – ¼ tsp

  • Garlic Powder – ¼ tsp

  • Ice Cold Water – 1-2 tbsp

  • In a bowl, add the grated cheese and butter and mix it well. To this, add the flour, salt and chilli flakes and mix well again.
  • Add ice cold water and continue kneading till the dough just comes together. Shape it together and cling wrap and refrigerate for 20-30 min.
  • Roll out the dough and the cut it into diamond or triangle shape.
  • Using a chop stick or skewer, make a small hole in the centre of each cracker. This will prevent the crackers from puffing up a lot.
  • Transfer the crackers to a lined baking tray and bake for 12-15 min at 170C till the edges and bottom changes to a light golden-brown color.
