Aloo Chana Chaat

During lockdown, street down especially chaats was one of the most missed items by all of us. So much so that most people started making different kinds of chaats at home. Me being no different. It is almost an year since the first lockdown. And with things slowly limping back to normal, we can definitely have our share of small celebrations So with the festival of colors – Holi – around the corner, when my friend Pooja suggested that I should do a series on chaats, it seemed like a great idea. So she joined me to present some of the chaats that she enjoys preparing at home during festival time.

Aloo Chana (Potatoes and Chickpeas) Chaat is probably one of the easiest chaats you can make. If you have some boiled chana/chickpeas and boiled potatoes, it is just a matter of tossing together all the ingredients. Any chaat will require the tamarind or imli chutney and the green mint and coriander chutney. In fact, I always make a batch of these and keep it refrigerated. That ways whenever I need to make a chaat, I don’t have to bother about making the chutneys.
